Hi everybody! i've recently built a Helios inspired pre/eq for 500 series, it's a working prototype, once everything is finalized i will do a small batch of pcbs. If someone is interested please let me know. some pictures: input amp output amp thread at Groupdiy: groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=72521.msg918598#msg918598

How are those PCBs coming along? For some reason I’m in the midst of a Helios obsession 😜

the preamp is now in his third revision. is working perfectly. the only tweak that i want to try is to lower the Q of the mid band curves to match those of my original helios 500. there is not a big difference between the two, and maybe an higher Q is preferable, still I want to try. you can see the plots of the two equalisers compared on group diy under the preamplifier section

REW (short for Room Eq Wizard) through RME Fireface 400 at 88kHz doing a 3 seconds sweep from 0Hz to 50kHz if i remember correctly.
