Cheers, Ross Hey Ross good question….. it’s actually Ezbass by toontrack. I had a jazz bass part I recorded…but I wanted an upright type sound…..I took the audio of my playing and put it in EzBass’s Audio Tracker….and with some tweaking of the result that’s the finished part. cheers Wiz

I just sold my copy here a couple days ago. I never tried that feature in the year+ that I owned it. Ha!

That’s one of the very open secrets of RGO Gene, we have a handful of great vocalist that have provided us with enough demo material you can judge a mic by. In fact after you become accustomed to them you will find how quickly you can judge a mic. Even better after sitting in the room with Peter, JK and Herbie use the same mic and Vincent and Emily bring things to the table that really are the acid test of any mic.

Ha Ha Chris, I consider you the second stringer, not because of ability or tone but simply because I haven’t yet actually heard you without a mic! ( yeah I haven’t heard Vinnie or Emily without one but they are special cases) something I hope to change someday! You however make me appreciate more and more how good some of the lower priced mic’s actually are.

Thanks! BTW it's been a long journey for me, to better appreciate the relatively better/usually more $$ mic choices out there. A litmus for me, is when knowing "what mic it is"... Ups the vocal performance game. Almost like it becomes an audience member, listening to you. And might leave $20 in the tip jar. Towards voice lessons. Chris

Chris The funny thing and this is coming from the former gearpimp, you can’t count the number of mic buyers who would have been better off spending that money on voice lessons. That would mean both work and admitting they were not as good as they thought they were. The thing is as a guy with his roots in live, the guy who spent the $ on voice lessons always sounds better through a 58.

Yep. My latent Popera leanings, will undoubtedly help open my wallet eventually. Right now the easier material. Like Bohemian Rhapsody or Harry Nilsson's version of "Without You". Chris

I could talk for hours about voice lessons, finding a decent teacher, and how to know who really has no idea what they are talking about. I’ve been meaning to make a video on it, especially with the explosion of voice teachers on YouTube. Some of these people are laughable and frankly dangerous for young singers. Then there is a whole group of new school voice teachers, some of whom are very good, but they use terminology that is in exact opposition to old school singing that has been around for hundreds of years; terms like open sound, forward sound, masque sound, etc. I literally had a convo about it with a teacher I think is actually very good, cause I was aggravated that he was describing things backward. Smh.

My wife is a singing teacher… she’s fantastic.
The positive impact that she has on kids is incredible, especially teenage girls who might be struggling with self image.
She also specialises in working singers and helping them maintain their vocal abilities and expand on them a good teacher it’s worth their weight in gold and not just in singing
Cheers
Wiz

But Roseanne Barr's vocal teacher, should be disbarred. And Wiz's wife emergency dispatched, before the next US National Anthem rendition. BTW a "Mt. Rushmore" style BU67 Badge is worthy of consideration. Possible candidates... Obviously/maybe the Bee Gees? (Hey it even rhymes!) Or... I hereby nominate... Ben/Wiz/Gene. I'm not jive talkin'! Chris

So this guy rushed into Emergency, at the Hospital, and shouts... "Help me please" "I'm shrinking!!" The head ER Doctor happens to be in the waiting room and says... "Now now" Please settle down" "You need to learn to be a little patient". Chris

Will used an open hand at the Oscars.. Because paper covers Rock. Police determined it wasn't staged. Once they checked the fresh prints. And also determined his son wasn't cast in it. But Chris should have hired a band a couple of my friends are in, for protection. Their name? Slapback! (Really) Chris .

Not only do you not get any soup, but you get a slap on the way out!
