Hey guys, if I seem a little off... I'm sorry. My dad died yesterday morning, 0210 eastern, and well. . . . it's a lot to deal with.
So I'm also concerned with how I may affect other people more than myself. So if I've been overly rude, cocky, cheeky or an ass... yeah more than usual, I apologize.

Only time will help ease the pain of loss, but it never really takes it away.

I'm sorry to hear that Ward. I've been there and know that feeling. There are few things that feel permanent in life and parents are one of them. It's pretty rough when you lose them. Turns your world upside-down.

I’m sorry for your loss Ward. Lost my mom in June so the hurt is fresh here. Still having trouble wrapping my mind around it. So, take the time you need, and be good to yourself.

So sorry Ward. Prayers coming your way. Take the time to grieve. It will take awhile. I've been thru it with my parents, and the loss is always there - BUT - it does get easier. I saw a pic on IG of you with him. I'm sure he was super happy to have you around and in his life. Let us know if you need anything. Blessings.

I just need prayer and to meditate. The unresolved issues in life will never get resolved which leads to some anger. But I'm meditating and praying through it.
Thank you all for being awesome colleagues and friends. I sincerely hope I'm not acting like an ass to anyone, cos it's easy when you're processing.

Sorry to be late on this, but I'm sorry to hear your news. Even though it's the way of things, we always miss the love and counsel of our parents.

Sorry to be late on this, but I'm sorry to hear your news. Even though it's the way of things, we always miss the love and counsel of our parents. Going through the process of watching Lewy Body Dementia take its toll has been hard over the past number of years... my only concern and reason for posting is I am concerned my own behavior and language used here amongst valued colleagues and dear friends might cause any one else any discomfort. Grief sometimes affects how we behave, and I would be ashamed of myself for hurting another person when it were definitely not my intention.

Dementia (in its many forms) is the sort of possible end that we all dread the most. And I don't think anybody around here is going to misinterpret what you say in this painful time.

I just noticed this post. I'm very sorry for your loss Ward. My dad has been gone for over a decade now. I know this feeling well and I get it. He taught me how to swing a club and we golfed together since I was 6, and we bowled together on leagues for several years. He was my best friend, and I’m thankful for every minute I had to spend with him. He was a good dad, he suffered for two years with brain cancer and it was a terrible time seeing him lose his ability to see, and just walk, and I miss him terribly, sending all the blessings and my prayers your way.
