Pretty cool watch, though he gets a bit granular about his photo's and history behind every piece. But, it's cool to see Audioscape and Stam pieces. I'd never heard of his band, and can say it's not my thing after checking them out, but it I dig his space nonetheless.

Neat...Two TG1 Limiters and a pair of Germanium comps; side note, Billy Bob and Daniel Lanois are buddies too.

The other actor studio I've been told is wild is woody harrelson's. Our Late piano tech was telling me about it.

I haven't watched the video, but I'm pretty sure he bought the house and studio from Slash.

I love BBT as an actor but his music not so much. He was so auto-tuned that he didn’t sound like himself at all. I had to check the credits of who was actually singing.

The vibe of the studio was cool. I'm also not a big fan of the band. Has anybody seen the interview with the Canadian radio show where Billy Bob goes off? It's crazy.

I haven't watched the video, but I'm pretty sure he bought the house and studio from Slash. according to this his current house/studio came from Jason Wade (Lifehouse), but he says the Trident 80B came from Slash (from buying a previous house it sounds like in this interview tapeop.com/interviews/152/boxmasters-are/)

I hope Billy Bob’s surgery went well. I’m surprised he’s still wearing that bandage on his head..

Man Jeff my friend, your taking me back about 35 years and I feel like major PTSD flashbacks from opening mix turning the page and thinking “ Man so and so is going to call and be pissed😁 Now let’s say a manufacturer calls all bent out of shape, let’s call him Larry, generic gear Manufacturer Larry, Larry see’s a picture of some rock stars studio filled with Larry gear, he see’s it every body see’s Larry gear, but our good friend the rockstar an as luck would have it my very low margin client as referred to all his Larry gear as Berry gear so Larry is pissed. Being the audio sales professional ( just call me gearpimp ret.) I dig out pre prepared remarks number 7. OK, look rock stars are dumb, this guy isn’t going to be interviewed by the Econonomist, or New Yorker, look yeah the dumb SOB blew it but Larry, there isn’t a single piece of Barry in his racks! Everybody has figured out his IQ might equal his U47, the pics tell the story, dude every geek suddenly realizes he might have more, talent, actually more luck, a hotter wife, a cooler, car, more money, but damn it each and everyone of those geeks is thinking but I can read! They will all by Larry because obviously Larry is the secret not Barry, so shut up so I can sell some gear! I won’t say this didn’t happen exactly like this, the names might have been changed just to make Jeff do a spit take😁

Same guy who wanted a bunch of free gear from me. When I said the best I could do was 10% off he ghosted me, for which I am happy LOL

Yeah, I never understood the whole “give me free gear people will see me using it and will buy some because I’m a name” thing.
Honestly, CAPI stuff is such a great bargain that it seems pretty insane. I think I’ve built about 20 of Jeff’s modules for people after going to their rooms with my lunchbox in hand and using them on sessions. You know it’s a great piece of gear when somebody hears it and goes “I need that!”. Which is cool - Jeff sells gear, I make a little cash soldering up some modules, and there is more CAPI in the universe and all is good!

Because some idiot will always give in and send them free stuff, no different from all the influencers getting free everything. Now I just might have a tiny bit of a bias here, but hear me out: first I always thought it made more sense to give the guys actually selling your stuff a free demo, they are going to learn it and push it because they understand if they want more they need to move more. A simple Example Symetrix “ accidentally left me one of their Graphic EQ’s for 8 months, that thing spent time in a bunch live rigs, loaned out to a couple of consultants, sold a ton. Who cares what mic Chuck Alianey likes this week ? 2nd biggy here which of the following do you think sold more mics? Smart has a bunch of ATM25’s”, or “ Mike was just in and bought a bunch of ATM25’s for Smart?”.
