I coulda sworn they announced they were going to revive the guitar line as well?
Did this happen? Is it going to happen? Seems to me it was a while ago. Maybe a year or more?
Was I hallucinating? Making this up because I want it to happen? And yeah, I'll check out the Eastwoods, but made in China always has me a little apprehensive.
Google turned up almost nothing .
Cheers, Geoff

"Made in China" = it looks like the real thing but it's about to break, when you need it most and least expect it to break.

Holy shit! I have an old Supro Lexington that is a pretty special instrument. I wonder if they will reissue that one. And I wonder if it will have the brilliant combination of plywood body and Brazillian rosewood fingerboard!!! ;-D
Maybe the best part about that guitar is the bridge pickup. It just oozes mojo. One time I called it "buttery" and that might be about right. It also looks bad-ass. The tone control circuits are totally outrageous and I unwired them.

Ended up buying a 61(ish) Dual Tone. Cheers, Geoff

Also came across this on the Eastwood site: Link Wray
Has period correct single coils, unlike the other Eastwood Twin Tone models which have humbuckers. This talks about the wacky Supro pickups/wiring
Will be interesting to see how close to period correct the Supro reissues will lean. Not Supro, but wicked retro-futuristic guitars being built by Eastwood. lWant!
Cheers, Geoff

Looking forward to hearing what you think. Looks like they kept some of the quirks, like the single coil pickups, but didn't slavishly copy every feature. More like a modern update. I think I want one. cheers, Geoff

Anybody at Namm take these for a spin? Cheers, Geoff Yes. The neck on the blue 3 pickup model is fantastic. They have nice tones, all single coils, even the big suckers. So, prepare for buzz hum and noise. They're made in China, by the way, but you would never say it.

Oh, dang! That's pretty tempting You're off the hook for now - I followed the link and Alto Music says it's unavailable, Maybe they sold out and are no longer a dealer? It's still listed on Supro's site so I don't think it's discontinued...

Anybody jump on these? If so, what’s the verdict? Cheers, Geoff I grabbed the Jamesport for $299. It showed up Monday with a broken string. Haven't had a chance to restring and plug it in yet though. I'm a horrible guitarist too, so might not be the best judge.

Jesse, a broken string? Sounds like a warranty issue to me. LOL
