Yes they were true 2x2's from the Depot. I found them on the contractor side of the building. I have to go get more sometime this week and I take some pics of them.

Recording 2 inches @ a Time(plus PT) Awesome Sub! if you could find out the manufacturer of those true 2x2's, that would be killer! How much did you pay per stick? i assume they are 8', also, what were the final trimmed back board dimensions? thanx T BTW, to find the manufacturer, look at a still bundled pallet, they usually sit in the bins above customer access, and have branded plastic around them.

I used the 1/4 in 2'x 2' from lowes. But they are actually 2'x2' 1/8". I squared them to be actually 2'x2'. Then put 2 together with 3 of the 1 1/2"x 1 5/8" using contractors liguid nail. After using the true 2"x2" it all laid out perfect. They have different kind of wood types, i think the 8's was $6.98.. Recording 2 inches @ a Time(plus PT)

Since they are 3.5" thick, they'll compare just fine with 703.

Went to Lowes and Home Depot they told me the same thing. So, I have a few friends who own sawmills since I live out in the woods. I no I can get it cheap through them. So the question is what type of wood to use so I can let them no and I can get some prices. I no it needs to be made if the lightest wood we can find. Let me no what you think and I'll get on this. Myke Recording 2 inches @ a Time(plus PT) Hey Myke, i'm sure you saw the sticky thread on the "semi diy bbc diffusor" group buy thing, i brought the whole thing up to help the guys out who dont have the tools to chop these pieces up, i was going to charge a bit for my time, and do it myself, but if you can get good prices and have the tools and desire to do it, you can make the money off of the labor?(not that it's a cash cow lol) anyway, let me know. as far as wood goes, just plain old doug fir, everything else is much more $ We need 7- 8' sticks per person, so it depends on how many fella's say they are a go? so far it looks like 8, but that could/probably will grow?

All is good dude. These guys I no that have the sawmills are just good ol' country boys. I can get them to cut whatever length I want. Just rough cuts, I can then run them thru an wood planer to make them smooth and excactly 2"x2". I'll get ahold of them within a couple days and see what kind of wood they have and what it will cost. Hell, I can go out in my woods and cut some trees down to take to them. They wouldn't charge me nothing for that. I have every tool made, I can help you out, I don't need to make any cash off of it, just whatever it cost me. If you want to throw me a couple bucks that's cool to. Just here to help everyone like you and me out, need stuff , but think its way over priced and can just do it a hell of alot cheaper, plus it's fun. LOL. Myke Recording 2 inches @ a Time(plus PT)
