audiotalesdesigns.com/about/BF sales on hand crafted hardware are pretty rare. Margins don't flex the same way and there are fewer sunk costs with HW like with SW. So I thought I'd mention this. I reached out after watching a YT video that mentioned a BF sale and Adrien at Audiotales indicated a discount on top of the already discounted bundle of the 1954 + 1951. Looks like it will be about 6500 EUR rather than just over 7300 EUR with the bundle and BF sale. Not bad for two ingeniously inventive boutique stereo modular EQs. Anyone ever tried these? Audio Animals had a compelling demo:

As someone noted in another thread Mixwave has their tube screamer free and most of the rest is on sale to varying degrees. I think Plugin Alliance has their tube screamer for free as well. I kinda despise them though. Can you say mid hump? I knew you could.

Plugin Alliance seems to have made a bunch of plugins "free' now. Probably because nobody was willing to pay for them... but they are not all useless. Could come in handy some day, who knows.

I bought Pulse (the PCM60) awhile back and it's pretty cool. This free one may see some use too. I'm tempted by others but really don't need them. When I started this thread it seemed like a few were going hard right out of the gate, but my junk mailbox has been less saturated by plugin sales too this year (so far). |

SX-Pro.co.uk already has some kind of sale going on. They run the same 20% of Wes Audio and Thermionic and 10% off API and Neve etc etc All year round - every few weeks I get the same email. It’s silly, just put the prices down permanently - the people buying this high end kit aren’t kids going “oh oh this weeks it’s 20% off a £4K compressor I must buy it now lest I miss out” Coz, it it becomes flippin obvious they’ll give you the same discount anyway in the weeks in between the endless sale weeks. Honestly - it’s plain daft to me. Good store though, I’ve bought a lot of kit from them and always get first class service, good advice too. The manager Dale is a top guy imho. |
