Starting this thread for physical recording and instrument stuff, to keep plug in and software deals separate. First up... ZenPro has the gen2 Vanguard V13 for $999...$150 off. Solid price! ProAudioStar has a 'used' one for $850. Looks minty, probably still has warranty.

I noticed a few things go on sale at the start of this month. - $100-$150 off the Warm 1073 clones on Sweetwater
- The smaller Bogner guitar pedals (Ecstacy Red/Blue mini, Burnley, Wessex) are under $100
- $70-$200 off the Shure KSM mics to a little below what they were pre-price hike
- $100 off the Antelope Zen Go Synergy Core at Zen Pro Audio
Only window shopping for me with my gear budget exhausted.

I found out Monoprice is closing it's Rancho Cucamonga warehouse and walk-up store. I've bought guitars, headphones, amps, mics, cords, etc. at rock bottom prices over the years at the SALE ROOM. Check this out I've told lots of friends who have bought these but not at this price. www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=625908

Scroll down the above web page for a full picture description. I just ordered a pair but reports used as overheads, guitar, amps and room mics are good.

Yeah, that kind of turned me off too.... Still might give it a whirl, but didn't need the hyperbole. Some of the reviews seem OK.

$48 for a ribbon mic? How good/bad could it be? If it was super bad and dark, it might be a cool room mic. Almost tempted by just the price alone.

Almost tempted by just the price alone. with a 4 micron ribbon, probably on the dark side(ha). Or it has some massive EQ'in happening in the active circuits. Yep preeeety dark haha But not unusable either. Wonder how it takes EQ to combat the tone.

Yeah, that kind of turned me off too....  Still might give it a whirl, but didn't need the hyperbole.  Some of the reviews seem OK. Let’s see 20 years of inexpensive Chinese ribbons, OK, in the history of the universe we can call it recent. Seriously though I’m going to bet that the person who writes content for audio at Monoprice sole qualification is they were in a band. This is the place where when I asked for deflection specs on their truss had no clue what I was talking about or why total maximum current draw of a moving light was important “ it’s 150 watts” Me “no that’s the lamp, you have a bunch of motors and a control board as well”. We are not an industry of “ sale prices “, some of those selling direct do them but most sales mean it either going bye bye or we bought a shit load. You want great prices be loyal, if you really want a great deal look for dead inventory that just sits there, if your gearpimp won’t cut a deal wait a couple of weeks, if they still won’t budge get a hold of his boss make an offer expect a counter and be ready to move.

Ordered a pair of those ribbons. I’ve had some good scores from MP over the years, who knows. Not much to lose.

I am guessing JZ mics will be having there usual 40-50% off selected mics. They are doing pre get ready promos for it.

Yes - Vanguard 13 V2 $150 off until December 1. (Not a lot off, but at least something!) I used the V1 and thought it was very good. It surprised me. I would like to hear more about the V2.

SSL Violet stereo EQ on sale for $500. Woah, that's a BIG price drop SSL gear is mass produced overseas now (no doubt SMC boards) - I imagine they have fairly large profit margins to play with. Back in the day when their equipment was discreet component boards etc made in Oxford UK the prices better reflected the quality on offer imho.
